Matthew Vandeputte specialises in time lapse and hyper lapse photography. These are still images that have been merged together to create what appears to be a video.

I am interested in this style of photography as it is not what it seems. Also, it is a style that is rarely heard of so not many people know what it is. It looks like ordinary videos however, is actually still images.

I am interested in the image above as he has used both time lapse and long exposure techniques to create a still image. this creates the swirl effect as the stars were moving.
