Muybridge

This series of images of the horse is what Muybridge is most well known for. It is rumoured that his inspiration came from a bet with friends whether the all of the horses hooves left the floor or not. He created the zoopraxiscope which lead to the creating of moving image.

I particularly like Muybridge's work as he captures movement through still images. This is intriguing as he does this in an eye catching way despite to object moving so fast. I am impressed by the horse images as animals can be hard to photograph as they are unpredictable.
